INTERVIEWER NOTES

My partner Stephanie and parents-in-law Joan and Eustace are key reasons why I’ve become so interested in the Chinese Jamaican community: because I am so interested in all of them. As it happens, Joan and “Tassy” are also both superlative narrators, whose experiences, while unique, could be considered representative of many Chinese Jamaican immigrants to Toronto as well.
